I am not to use my left arm or hand at all for at least 10 days. Trust me when I say the Doctors don't have to worry about me not following directions because if I move a finger on my left side it hurts real bad.
The pain in my elbow has been very significant and has kept me up at night, and the first night after my surgery I couldn't get comfortable and the pain kept me awake so I went out to my garage to see how well I can paint with just my right arm. Well I am happy to report that I can still paint, which means I can continue to turn out some new pieces.
I am not allowed to work for almost a month due to the type of job I have and do. My tennis elbow which required me to have surgery is a work related injury. My job will not let me come to work with a one arm restriction, so until my Doctor releases me and lifts the one arm restriction I am stuck at home.
This morning was my first day off work and I had a small panic attack as I realized I was not going to work and I have no idea to do with myself and the fact I only have the use of one arm.
Well my Sister is currently unemployed so we are planning different things to do, plus since I can paint I plan on trying to get out a few pieces during my time off.
So stay tuned I am almost done with a dining room set and a coffee table. Plus my birthday was yesterday and my Best Friend gave me $50 gift card to Home Depot, so I went and bought paint for some end tables I want to finish and I bought paint for a desk I am redoing for my 10 year old Daughter.
So I think I can keep myself busy and won't go crazy while my elbow heals.
superb article it means never back down!cool best of luck!
